Rooted in the Othello neighborhood where Ari grew up, this large-scale vinyl mural traces the connection between human migration and the movement of nature. A diverse flock of birds, drawn from species endemic to the cultures historically present in South Seattle, flies skyward, guided by the Sun.

The piece introduced a new process for Ari's practice: each subject was hand-painted on canvas, then photographed, digitized, and vectorized into scalable high-resolution assets for vinyl application — allowing painterly detail to translate cleanly to architectural scale. The blue, flowing pattern doubles as a wayfinding device, echoing the “Inflorescence” mural Ari painted on the neighboring Othello Safeway and tying the OBCC interior to the surrounding streetscape.
