Wraparound exterior mural — aerosol, latex, oil stick, and 24K gold
Lakeridge Park, Seattle, WA
2024 · Commissioned by the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture

Lakeridge Park sits along the shores of Lake Washington in South Seattle, a neighborhood Ari has called home. The wraparound mural treats the park's restroom structure as a single continuous canvas, each face of the building offering a different window into the same living world.

On the front, Mount Rainier (Tahoma) rises through a swirling deep-blue sky, its snowcapped peak rendered in aerosol, latex, and oil stick with 24K gold detailing that catches the light. On the back wall, Lake Washington stretches into the distance, its shoreline lined with homes rendered in utopian architecture: organic forms, rounded structures, and verdant surroundings that imagine a South Seattle built in harmony with the land around it.

Together, the four walls form a composition of the Pacific Northwest as it is and as it could be: indigenous in its reverence for place, futurist in its vision of what community can become.
