What does it mean for art to be truly public? Current Resident pushes that question to its edge. Formatted as a direct mail insert and delivered alongside grocery circulars, coupon booklets, and weekly advertisements, this work arrives uninvited in the mailboxes of everyday Seattle residents — no gallery admission, no artist statement on the wall, no context to signal that what they're holding is art.
